Bike Ride for Alzheimers Association

Tour de Canal

The Tour de Canal is a challenging bike ride fundraiser to benefit the Alzheimer's Association, National Capital Area Chapter. This off-road bike ride takes place along the scenic Chesapeake & Ohio Canal starting in Cumberland, MD and ending in Georgetown in Washington, DC.

I've participated in this ride for the last couple of years. 84 miles the first day and 100 on the second. By the time you see Georgetown your butt is mighty happy and that cold beer in Chadwicks taste pretty dang good.

This year I've convinced MangoBrother Paul to join me.

However, we're going to wuss out on the 184 mile trip and do the 50/50. 50 on Saturday and 50 on Sunday - should be a breeze.

Here's Uncle Paul with his new Smart Car, bike racked and ready to ride.

Any donations to the Alzeimers Association would be appreciated. You can even designate it for Team Mango.
