More Bike Ride

We travel only 16 miles along mud alley, arriving at Hancock, MD, to find out the bad news. Due to even worse weather down downstream, (the weather that DC had just experienced) they were calling the ride for the rest of the day. We had to wait for the busses and truck to show up to collect us and the bikes for the return to the Red Roof Inn.

We were able to find a hose behind a shop to rinse off, it was good until the shop keeper nixed the plan.

Here' my buddy Carolyn in all her mud splendor. Carolyn and I and 198 other cops, firemen and EMS folks participated in the RIde to Remember. A emotional and challenging bike ride from Ground Zero in NYC to the Pentagon on the one year anniversary of 9/11.
